Hourly Comics 2026
Weekly Newsletter #6 of 2026
This past Sunday was Hourly Comics Day, an annual event where you draw diary comics for each hour of the day. I have done it for... gosh, maybe 11 or 12 years at this point? I have honestly lost track. It’s been an interesting way to look at my day and document each year, and I very much look forward to it and seeing peeks into other artists’ lives through their comics. This year it fell on a Sunday where I wasn’t really up to much because I had a very busy week before, including an art market the previous night so I was tired and it was my day off so I mostly lazed about with the dog. Anyway, here are my Hourly Comics 2026, with a bonus: Peg’s Hourly Comics!
I also did two vending events this past week: Riverside Artswalk and the Punk Rock Market at the Santa Ana Artwalk. I sold out of my Pet Portraits at the Punk Rock Market! I have been loving drawing people’s pets live and it’s been a delight to see how much people love their pets and to hear their stories about them.
My eyes have been pretty good, I haven’t had any more ocular migraines and I’m still following up with some specialists to make sure everything is alright.
Here are the events I have coming up:
Saturday February 21st from 6pm-9pm: Ontario Art Walk: Celebrating Paper Arts!
225 Euclid Ave. Ontario, CA
Saturday March 7th from 5pm-10pm: Punk Rock Market at Santa Ana Art Walk
4th Street, Santa Ana, CA by the Pizza Press
Saturday March 21st from 2pm-4pm: OCZF Teen Zine Program at the Anaheim Central Library
I’ll be teaching a workshop for teens ages 13-18 on how to make a special type of zine that has a magical “disappearing” page! This is part of OC Zine Fest programming in partnership with Anaheim Public Library, in the lead up to our annual zine fest being held on August 15th.
Sunday March 22nd from 2pm-4pm: Zine Workshop at Communitea Coffee in Brea
I’ll be teaching a zine making workshop focusing on different ways to fold your zines and experimenting with shape! All ages, kids must be accompanied by an adult. Great for all levels of experience.
Communitea Coffee 1015 E. Imperial Hwy C1, Brea, CA
